Find an Expert: Outside the United States

ASQDE Member experts outside the United States are listed by country. Most examiners accept cases from outside their country.  Or, enter the expert's name in the search box.

Government examiners who also accept private matters are included in this list.

TO EMAIL AN EXPERT, click on the expert's name.

An asterisk (*) next to the member's name indicates that the examiner is also certified by the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE).

The ABFDE Rules and Procedures Guide states, "Certification is limited to permanent residents of the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other such places as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, authorize and direct."

What to expect when you contact a forensic document examiner or specialist

Picture
  • Do not send any documents until requested. Your first inquiry should be general as to the type of work needed and the names of the parties involved so a conflicts check may be run.
  • To retain the expert, a retainer payment and signed agreement is generally required.
  • If the case involves a signature or handwriting question, gather several original documents with signatures (or handwriting, as applicable) dated close in time to the questioned document. Copies are acceptable, but original documents are preferred.
  • For the client's protection, the attorney should be the primary contact with the document expert.
  • See our FAQ page for more general questions.
