The American Society of
Questioned Document Examiners

Established in 1942, the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners is the oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization in the world dedicated to the profession of forensic document examination.

The purpose of the ASQDE is to foster education, sponsor scientific research, exchange experiences and provide instruction in the field of forensic document examination. It attempts to promote justice in matters that involve disputed documents.

To accomplish these objectives, the Society and its members engage in and encourage scientific research and disseminate the results by presentations at the scientific session of its annual meetings, as well as providing quality workshops for members and invited guests.

Annual Conference

The ASQDE holds a multi-day conference for members and invited guests each August. Attendees benefit from workshops, panels, posters and podium presentations, as well as networking and informal discussions among colleagues in the field. An exhibitor show, hosted receptions, trainee workshops and optional outings are highlights of each conference. The conference is held in the United States, and locations rotate by geographic region.
