Forensic Document Examination is a specialty field of forensic science dealing with examinations involving areas such as signatures, handwriting, alterations, counterfeiting, anonymous letters, indented writings, and ink & paper analyses.

Thomas W. Vastrick has been a forensic document examiner since 1977. He is certified by the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners and is a member of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners along with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Mr. Vastrick has testified as an expert witness hundreds of times, has conducted numerous training classes and workshops, and has had published numerous papers both in the United States and Europe.
