Supporter of the 2008 AGM

Questioned document examination involves examining a document for possible alterations, additions or the presence of multiple inks. Traditionally, spectroscopic analyses including visible to near-infrared reflectance/absorption and fluorescence have been used as tools for characterizing such alterations.  Chemical Imaging expands the capabilities of traditional point spectroscopy methods and provides visualization of molecular-based chemistries of materials. Jurors can clearly see and understand the evidence, making the forensic scientist’s job of conveying often complex scientific information straightforward and efficient.
